What is quality light?
In the past, LED lamps were considered as high-quality lamps with strong brightness, stable luminous effect and small color drift. Nowadays, with the proposal of the concept of green lighting and its popularity, the definition standard of excellent light quality has changed.
The stage of winning by quantity has passed, and the era of winning by quality has come.
Zhangshanduan, Professor of electric light source of Fudan University, once made a report "four elements of green lighting discussion", which proposed that green lighting must include energy conservation, environmental protection, safety and comfort. With the progress of light source technology and the improvement of standards, judging the quality of LED light sources from these four elements has gradually become the norm.
We found that customers in North America have higher and higher requirements for LED light quality. IES of the North American Lighting Commission has defined a new evaluation method tm-30 for the color rendering ability of light sources, and put forward two new test indicators RF and RG, which fully shows that international peers are constantly pushing forward new ideas in the light research of LED. We quickly introduce such evaluation methods into China, so that Chinese people can fully enjoy higher quality LED light sources.

We believe that high-quality LED lighting products focus on healthy, highly visible and realistic lighting effects, and choose the appropriate color temperature for different products. Moreover, lamps and lanterns should have anti glare requirements, control the harm of blue light overflow, and cooperate with the intelligent system to control the light, so as to meet the rich and diverse intelligent control needs.
01) LED light attenuation
Unlike traditional lamps, LED lamps are easy to suddenly fail to work. LED lamps usually do not suddenly fail. With the passage of LED working time, there will be light decay. Lm-80 test is a method and index to evaluate the lumen maintenance rate of LED light source.
Through lm-80 report, the service life of LED can be calculated. In ies lm-80-08 standard, rated lumen maintenance life; L70 (hours): refers to the time taken for the light source lumen to decay to 70% of the initial lumen; L90 (hours): indicates the time taken for the light source lumen to decay to 90% of the initial lumen.
For LED light source selection, the service life of the light source will be considered, and the supplier is required to provide lm-80 report.
02) High color rendering index
Color rendering index is an important method to evaluate the color rendering of light sources, and it is also an important parameter to measure the color characteristics of artificial light sources, which is expressed by ra/cri.
RA and R9, R15
Generally, the color rendering index RA is the average value of R1 to R8, and the color rendering index CRI is the average value of ri-r14. We not only consider the general color rendering index RA, but also pay more attention to the special color rendering index R9 for saturated red and the special color rendering index r9-r12 for four saturated colors of red, yellow, green and blue. We believe that these indicators truly represent quality LED light sources, while for prop commercial lighting light sources, only when these indicators have high values can we ensure the high color rendering of LED.
Generally, the higher the value, the closer it is to the color of the sunlight, and the closer the illuminated object is to its natural color. LED lighting sources with high color rendering index are usually selected in the prop industry. The products provided by blueview usually adopt cri>95 according to customer needs, which can truly restore the color of goods in the lighting, so as to achieve pleasing to the eye and stimulate people's shopping desire.
03) Glare
In 1984, the lighting Engineering Society of North America defined glare as the feeling of annoyance, discomfort or loss of visual performance caused by far greater lighting than the eyes can adapt to in the field of vision. According to the consequences, glare can be divided into discomfort glare, light adaptation glare and disability glare.
Luminous intensity is an important performance to characterize the luminous intensity of light-emitting devices. A large number of LEDs are packaged with cylinders or spheres. Due to the role of convex lenses, they all have strong directivity. The luminous intensity depends on the angular direction with different packaging shapes: the light intensity in the normal direction is the largest, and its intersection angle with the horizontal plane is 90. When the deviation from the positive normal direction is different θ Angle, light intensity also changes. The characteristics of LED point light source cause the problems of high brightness and glare. Compared with incandescent lamps, fluorescent lamps, high-pressure sodium lamps and other traditional lamps, the optical fiber direction of LED lamps is too concentrated, which is easy to produce uncomfortable glare
04) Blue light hazard
With the popularity of LED, the harm of LED blue light or blue light overflow has become a problem that all human beings must face and solve, and the prop industry is no exception.
According to the new EU general lamp standard, if the lamps using light sources that cannot be exempted from retinal hazard assessment, such as LED, metal halide lamps and some special tungsten halogen lamps, should be evaluated according to iec/en62778:2012 "Application of photobiosafety blue light injury assessment of light sources and lamps", and it is not suitable to use light sources with blue light hazard group greater than Rg2.
