如何选择调光电源


1) Confirm dimming mode

First, confirm which dimming mode is selected: DALI, 0/1-10V, silicon controlled rectifier, Zigbee, etc.


(1) DALI dimming

A DALI bus can be connected to 64 DALI dimming drives at most. If there are more than 64 DALI dimming drives, another DALI bus needs to be added, and so on; The DALI bus power supply outputs 250 mA signal current and 16 V typical voltage, and a DALI driven signal interface consumes signal current ≤ 2 mA.

The signal current consumed by each panel/knob/sensor is different, subject to the actual situation. Drive consumption signal current X drive quantity+panel/knob consumption signal current X quantity ≤ 250mA.

Advantages: precise dimming, single lamp, single control, two-way communication, strong anti-interference capability

Disadvantages: high price, complex debugging


(2) 0/1-10V

The output signal current of the controller shall be considered; According to IEC60929, the loss of each 0-10V driver signal interface is ≤ 2mA; Therefore, a controller with an output signal current of 50mA can be connected with 25 drivers.

Advantages: good dimming effect, high compatibility, high accuracy, high cost performance

Disadvantages: cumbersome wiring (additional signal lines are required for wiring)


(3) Thyristor dimming

Advantages: convenient wiring and low cost

Disadvantages: low adaptability and low compatibility


(4) Tangent dimming

The load of the controller shall be considered, which is generally recommended to be 80% of the maximum load of the controller; For example, if the maximum load of one loop of the controller is 400W and 12W drive is used, then 26 drives can be used.


(5) Zigbee

Zigbee network theory can accommodate 254 gateways, one gateway connects 254 nodes, totaling 65000 nodes; At present, one Zigbee gateway of Blueview can connect 30 Zigbee drivers.


02) Select constant voltage or constant current

First, determine whether the lamp is constant voltage or constant current, which can be judged according to the parameters marked on the lamp.

If the marked input voltage is DC12V/24V, that is, a constant voltage lamp, select a constant voltage dimming power supply for dimming.

Common constant voltage lamps: lamp band, lamp strip, wall washing lamp, buried lamp, gall lamp, etc.

If the input current marked on the lamp is a constant value, such as 600mA, and the input voltage is a range value, such as 12-20V, which is a constant current lamp, select a constant current dimming power supply for dimming.

Common constant current lamps: downlight, spotlight, panel lamp, ceiling lamp, linear lamp, projection lamp, etc.


3) Determine the proper dimming power supply

Constant current: First, check the power corresponding to the lamp parameters? Select the dimming power supply of the corresponding power; Then further check the voltage and current of the lamp. Generally, the dimming drive voltage range is between 9-42V, and the current range is 120mA-1400mA. The voltage of the selected constant current power supply must cover the voltage required by the lamp, and we generally suggest that the difference between the output current of the selected constant current power supply and the current of the lamp should be controlled within ± 5% (if the output current of the power supply exceeds this range, the life of the lamp will be affected, even the lamp will burn).

Constant voltage: first determine whether the lamp input is 12V or 24V? Then select the dimming power supply corresponding to the output voltage; When selecting the corresponding dimming power supply according to the lamp power, we generally recommend that the power of the constant voltage dimming power supply * 0.8 ≥ the lamp power. The power allowance is to prevent the lamps from heating and causing power increase and damage to the power supply when the lamps are used for a long time.


4) How to confirm lamp type, etc

(1). Confirm the type of lamp

Constant current lamps: downlight, spotlight, panel lamp, tunnel lamp, track lamp, project lamp, industrial and mining lamp, etc.

Constant voltage lamps: light strip, line lamp, dimming, dimming, RGB, RGB.


(2). Understand the parameters of lamps

Constant current lamps: working voltage, working current and power of lamps.

Constant voltage lamp: the working voltage of the lamp band (12V, 24V, 36V, 48V), power (W/m).


(3). Driving parameters

Output voltage, output current, power, stroboscopic requirements, power factor, efficiency, certification, housing, size, etc.


(4). Control system used in the project

System and drive compatibility matching test, and system host full power test if possible.
