So many colors! What's the point? In fact, each light source has a relatively sensitive color. For example, if a certain light source is sensitive to red, the color displayed by the red object will be more realistic under its illumination, but objects of other colors may not achieve very real color restoration effect under its illumination.

Professionally speaking, the evaluation of the color rendering performance of light source is mainly based on the reduction level of 8 natural colors R1-R8, 7 experimental colors R9-R15, and a total of 15 colors. What we usually call RA is the average reduction level of 8 natural colors R1-R8, and R9-R15 is not included.

We usually see lamps and lanterns manufacturers write RA > 90 (R9 > 50) and other similar labeling methods when labeling products. RA > 90 indicates that the color rendering of the lamps and lanterns has a high degree of reduction for eight natural colors R1-R8, and R9 > 50 indicates that the lamps and lanterns have good color reduction ability for red objects.
