The concept of color tolerance was first proposed by Kodak in the industry. It is standard deviation of color matching, or SDCM for short. It refers to the difference between the formula calculated by the computer and the target standard. When calculated under a single lighting source, the smaller the value, the higher the accuracy. However, it should be noted that it only represents the color comparison under a certain light source and fails to detect the deviation under different light sources. The difference between the spectrum emitted by the light source and the standard spectrum.
The standard spectrum changes with the color temperature. If the standard spectrum of the same light source is different, its color tolerance is also different. However, during measurement, the general photochromic analysis system will automatically identify the color temperature range of the measured light source to determine the color temperature value of the standard spectrum. The unit of color tolerance is SDCM. The color tolerance required by general energy-saving lamps is less than 5sdcm. The tolerance of LED module color specified in GB248723-2009 shall be less than the performance requirements of ordinary LED module.
