1. Acrylic plate can be divided into casting plate and extrusion plate according to the production process. According to the transmittance, it can be divided into transparent plate, translucent plate (including dyeing plate, transparent plate) and color plate (including black-and-white and color plate); According to performance, it is divided into impact resistant plate, ultraviolet resistant plate, ordinary plate and special plate, such as high impact resistant plate, flame retardant plate, frosted plate, metal effect plate, high wear-resistant plate, light guide plate, etc.

A: Cast plate: high molecular weight, excellent stiffness, strength and excellent chemical resistance. Therefore, it is more suitable for processing large-size identification plaques, which takes a little longer than in the softening process. This kind of plate is characterized by small batch processing, incomparable flexibility in color system and surface texture effect, complete product specifications and practical for various special purposes.

B: Extruded plate: compared with cast plate, extruded plate has low molecular weight, weak mechanical properties and high flexibility. However, this feature is conducive to bending and hot forming, and the softening time is short. When dealing with large plates, it is conducive to various rapid vacuum blister forming. At the same time, the thickness tolerance of extruded plate is smaller than that of cast plate. Due to the large-scale automatic production of extrusion plate, the color and specification are inconvenient to be adjusted, so the diversity of product specifications is limited.

2. There is also a kind of acrylic recycling board, which is obtained by recycling acrylic leftover materials, obtaining regenerated MMA (methyl methacrylate) monomer after thermal degradation, and then chemical polymerization. After strict process flow, pure MMA monomer can be obtained again, which is no different from the newly synthesized monomer in quality. However, the purity of the produced degradable monomer is not high. After the plate is formed, its quality and performance are very poor.

Summary: the extrusion plate uses granular raw materials, which are extruded after high-temperature dissolution, while the casting plate is directly cast with MMA monomer (liquid). Although the extrusion plate is flat and smooth in appearance, it can complete polymerization when the granular raw materials are formed. When it is processed into plate, its structure and performance are weak, so it is not suitable for outdoor identification products. It is only suitable for indoor products such as crystal characters or product supports.

In addition, because most extruded plates do not have UV protection function, their outdoor service life is different from that of cast plates. The color will fade gradually and it is easy to embrittle until it breaks. The cast plate completes the structural polymerization in the plate processing process, during which ultraviolet absorber is added, which has extremely high strength and UV function. The outdoor service life is more than 5 years or even 10 years, and the color is always bright as new during use.
