What is photometry?
Photometry is the science of measuring the visible light perceived by the human eye. We use it mainly in the context of lighting technology, whether in architecture, photography, audio-visual or other similar environments. Illuminance is measured in Lux or foot candlelight; It indicates the amount of illumination received by a given surface unit. We use two kinds of equipment to measure the luminosity data, that is, the lumen number produced by the light source: the integrating sphere is used to measure all the electrical characteristics of the lighting equipment and the chromaticity of the light source, especially the luminous flux or lumen. The goniometer can measure the spatial and angular distribution of the light source.

As the distance between the surface and the light source increases, it tends to decrease (inverse square law).
